Environmental Sustainability

Ours is a small, sustainable company.

We use new technologies to reduce gas and electricity consumption, we have solar panels and we mainly use our own wood for heating.

We favour cultivation practices that require less fuel and use less water. Even for ‘natural’ practices we try to reduce our environmental impact e.g. by burying manure.

We recover and reuse rainwater. When it runs out, we use well water and only if this is not possible we use drinking water.

Chemical fertilisers are reduced as much as possible through the use of manure and organic products wherever possible (excluding compulsory treatments). Everything is reused if possible. Waste is reduced to a minimum through composting.
